Focus PM was appointed as the Project Managers/ Principle Agent for the upgrade at the Life Groenkloof Hospital where the following additions were made:
- Five New Theatres
- One Future Theatre
- New Pre-Op / Recovery Area (10 beds)
- Plant room
- New Parking facility
- New Medical Gas Bank & VIE Bulk Oxygen Tank
- Refuse Facilities
- Extensive internal works to existing ‘live’ facility
The project was delivered on time and within budget beyond the Clients expectations. Detailed planning prior to and during construction by our meticulous Project Managers ensured this great achievement. Moreover, the Works were carried out in a ‘live’ environment where the operations of the hospital were minimally affected whilst balancing the challenge of multiple stakeholders. The skilful planning of our team ensured multiple services such as medical gas lines, stand-by generator power and theatre air-conditioning requirements were tied-in from new to existing services seamlessly. The official opening was held in August 2019.
